Until today no communications have been brought by individuals to the attention of the Committee in relation to the human rights situation in Western Sahara.
It is worth noting that, being a party of the Convention, Morocco has not declared that it recognizes this competence of the Committee: individuals under its jurisdiction are not allowed to submit a petition against Morocco. When Morocco will recognize this competence, the concerned person shall fill and send to the Committee the following form: Individual Complaint Form CED.
However, if all the conditions are satisfied, individuals under the jurisdiction of Morocco may submit an urgent request to the Committee as mentioned above. For submitting an urgent request, the concerned person shall fill and send to the Committee the following form issued by the CED: Urgent Model Form for CED.
