The situation of human rights in Western Sahara has been taken into account by the Committee in occasion of the evaluation of the reports submitted by Morocco.
Under the ICCPR, Morocco is obliged to forward every four years the general reports containing the information on the domestic measures undertaken to respect the Covenant’s provisions.
Morocco submitted its last general report in 2015 but the situation in Western Sahara have been already addressed by the Committee during the evaluation of the former periodic reports.
