Until today no communications have been brought by individuals to the attention of the Committee in relation to the human rights situation in Western Sahara.
It is worth noting that Morocco has not ratified the OP CEDAW which grants to individuals the right to submit a claim to the Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in case they deem that Morocco has violated the Convention. As a consequence, individuals or groups that are under the jurisdiction of Morocco cannot submit a claim to the Committee in respect of Morocco.
