The human rights situation in Western Sahara has been evaluated by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights during the exam of the periodic reports of Morocco. It ratified the Covenant in 1979 and is obliged to submit regularly to the Committee a report on the respect of the Convenant’s provisions.
