The European Council appointed Catherine Ashton High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy after the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon.
Mrs. Ashton expressed her views on Western Sahara in different occasions following specific events or answering to questions asked by European Parliament’s Members.
