Until today no communications have been brought by individuals to the attention of the Committee in relation to the human rights situation in Western Sahara.
It is worth noting that Morocco is not a State party to the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: individuals who claim to be victims of a violation of the rights set forth in the Covenant and are subject to the jurisdiction of Morocco are not able to submit a communication to the Committee.
